After an exciting sleepover or a bad night, it’s normal to be a little groggy and need some daytime shuteye. It turns out the same is true for our orangutan cousins!
Scientists studied the sleeping habits of a group of orangutans in Sumatra for over 10 years. They found that while orangutans sleep for 12 to 13 hours per night, they also take naps to make up for restless or interrupted sleep.
