19 August is International Orangutan Day. All 3 species of orangutans are critically endangered due to destruction of their forest habitat, the wildlife trade, and conflict with humans.
You can help! Do a school research project on orangutans to learn more about these amazing animals and the forests they need to survive. Raise awareness! Share what you learn with family and friends. You could also do a fundraiser, like a school bake sale, to help support orangutan conservation organizations.
