Many of us live near a freshwater wetland such as a swamp or marsh, or a brackish wetland like a salt marsh or mangrove.
Locate your nearest wetland on a map and figure out how long it would take to get there on foot, by bicycle, or by bus or car.
If you can, grab your family and go for a visit! A fun wetland activity is identifying 5 new species with the help of a field guide or an app like Seek or iNaturalist (for plants and animals) or eBird (for birds).
