Got snow? Why not build a snow animal?
If it is winter and snowing where you live, get outside and build a snow animal! How about a snowbear, snowtiger, snowsnail, or a snowfrog? Building with friends or family makes it extra fun!
We’d love to see what you come up with! To share photos of your snow animals with us, guardians and educators can reach out using the contact information on our about us page.
First birds of the year challenge!
Birders and aspiring birders can enjoy checking off the first birds of the year on their checklist. What you need: a pair of binoculars and a bird guide, or an identification app like Seek (an app designed for kids by iNaturalist), iNaturalist, Merlin, or eBird.
For even more tips check out: US National Park Service tips for beginning birders.
