We love to celebrate moths during National Moth Week (last week of July) and beyond. Here are a few moth-themed activities to keep you busy.

1. Go mothing

Mothing means searching for moths. You can do this at home (using a white sheet and a light), or you can join an organized mothing event in your area. Visit nationalmothweek.org for a list of events near you and check out their Mothing 101 guide.

2. Color these moths

3. Make a moth using materials from home

These gorgeous painted moths – designed by Unlocking Fun Crafts – are created from recycled egg cartons. You can wear them on your finger and show them off to your friends.

These beautiful bogong moths – created by the National Museum of Australia – are crafted from cardboard and bits of paper. Style them however you choose!
