The Campbell’s keeled glass-snail was once thought to be extinct. Then researchers discovered a wild population on Australia’s Norfolk Island in 2020. They bred 46 snails in captivity at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo and recently released more than 300 snails back into the wild, where they seem to be doing well.

This amazing snail gives birth through its neck to live young, shell and all. Watch the video to learn more!
