What do you think the capybara with the turtle on its back is saying to the other capybaras?

What is this cartoon about?
An assortment of birds perch on capybaras, from crested caracaras — a bird of prey — to shiny cowbirds and cattle tyrants. They sit on capybara’s backs, heads, and bellies when their hosts are on land or even in water. But why does the world’s largest rodent put up with and even welcome these feathered guests?

These birds act as a capybara cleaning crew. And capybaras definitely need the help! They pick up ticks, lice, and other parasites as they move through their grassland and wetland habitats. They also attract flies. Birds, like the black vulture in this video, make a meal out of these protein-packed pests. So, the birds get food, and the capybaras get a skin and fur cleaning treatment. It’s a win-win situation.
Did you know? The type of relationship where both species benefit from an interaction is called a mutualism.
