IGUANA

The green iguana is a large lizard from Central and South America that lives in trees. Iguanas can reach a length of 6 feet (2 meters) from head to tail and are herbivorous, meaning they eat plants.

Iguanas are extremely popular in the pet trade.




The Mongabay Kids site (kids.mongabay.com) aims to help children learn about rainforests and the environment. This site is still under development and I am working to add additional content as time permits.
