GIANT ANTEATER

The Giant Anteater or Ant-bear lives in tropical parts of South and Central America. This animal may reach 4 feet (1.2 m) in length without the tail and feeds on termites, which it obtains by opening their nests with its powerful claws. The Giant Anteater uses its long, flexible tongue covered with sticky saliva for eating these insects.
