There are more kinds of beetles than any other group of animals on the planet. More than 450,000 species of beetles have been found.
Beetles are insects that range from the ladybug found in your garden to the giant stag beetles that live in the rainforest.
The Mongabay Kids site (kids.mongabay.com) aims to help children learn about rainforests and the environment.
