The Smallest Snake: Barbados Threadsnake (Leptotyphlops carlae)

The Barbados threadsnake is a blind species snake found on the island of Barbados. They are currently known to be the world's smallest species of snake. They are around 10 cm long, and are small enough to curl up on a quarter. They have relatively large offspring when compared to the size of adults. While very little is known about the population status of this species, species survival tends to be a concern.
